As our Canterbury Lantern Festival is getting popular, are you interested in knowing more about Chinese Traditional Festivals and fascinating stories behind them? Our Mid-Autumn Festival is coming up in September and we think it is a good chance to introduce it and other festivals. Come along to this one hour session to find out more. The Antarctic Collection (11,000 items) has been successfully moved to EPS Library including 6 steel map cabinets. Most of those missing and misplaced items have been found and the records have been updated. All of the holdings information has been changed to reflect its location at EPS Library.
The website has also been updated however signage at the lifts in the Central Library may not be updated until the end of the year.

We just would like to inform you that the Antarctic Collection (print and map) in Level 4 will be permanently moved to EPS from next Tuesday 29th August and we aim to finish the move by the end of next week.
The holdings will be changed on Tuesday night 29th August even though some of the collections won’t be moved over to EPS till later in the week. The print collection will remain borrowable throughout the week.
I have homemade Kimchi for sale which I will put in Central Library Level 5 Staff Room today and tomorrow from 10-5pm. It comes in sizes small ($2), medium ($4; $5) & large ($6). Two types of Kimchi-Baechu Kimchi (normal one) & Kkakdugi (Diced Radish Kimchi). It can last for 2-3 weeks in the fridge if you are not consuming it straight away.
