The Technology Enabled Learning Facility (TELF) is a new service offered by the e-Learning team to support lecturers in the use of learning technologies. James Hight Room 502 has been equipped a lectern and other technologies typically found in UC teaching spaces.
With support of members of the e-learning team lecturers utilizing this service are able to:
Practise using and undertake training in the use of the teaching technologies (lectern) found in UC teaching spaces.
Library staff are warmly invited to attend Teaching Month workshops. During Teaching Month colleagues from across the University will provide illustrations of their effective teaching practices followed up by a chance to ask questions. Booking is not required. I am happy to announce that Dr Susan Tull has been employed as a Flexible Learning Advisor. Susan brings to the role a wealth of experience and knowledge in online learning and teaching and e-learning teacher professional development and support. Susan will be supporting the Colleges of Business and Law and is located on level 5 of the James Hight library with the rest of the e-Learning team. Susan’s first day of work was Monday 28th May.
Sadly I have to let you know that Pam Grant has chosen to resign for personal reasons and will not be returning to work. Pam has commented on the support from staff and management during her time at UC, and is particularly grateful to her immediate colleagues in the e-Learning Support Team who have supported her. We wish Pam well going forward.
Pam supported the College of Business and Law, and we will be putting a business case together to replace this position as soon as we can.

I am delighted to announce that as of Monday 17th July Robert Kadlubowski will be joining the e-Learning Support team (ELS). Robert is UC’s Teaching Spaces Training Advisor and is moving to the Library from AV. We are looking forward to Robert joining the team and are excited by the opportunity to enhance and extend the academic staff development services currently offered by ELS.
