You are all invited to a Q & A session tomorrow afternoon 1 March, 2-3 pm. This will be on Zoom. Anne will give us an update and we can ask questions/ pātai. Hope to see you all there!
Now that I have your attention, there is free food available in the tea room on level 5. These are leftovers from Aurelia’s Mihi Whakatau. Individual boxes.
I hope everyone had a lovely relaxing break. This is just to let you all know that I brought in 2 liters of milk, it is upstairs in the tea room fridge.
We (Te Paea, Lyndsay, Caroline A and myself) are currently planning Makerspace, and we need your help. We have identified that we need some tools, and are wondering if you might have any that we can have in the space? It is currently in the old Student care rooms. Thanks in advance.
Edit: Thanks for the feedback about examples of tools needed. We are looking for pliers, hammers, screwdrivers, nails, or anything like that! We will also be putting out another plea for fabric soon, so please have a think about that and see if you might have anything to donate to a worthy cause!
So it seems that the deeply traditional last day of work picnic isn’t so traditional, as some people were unaware of it. Here is the link to last years’ post. Let’s meet at 12.30 pm tomorrow, level 4, and lounge on the beanbags. Bring your lunch and/or something to share.
So, do we want to continue the deeply traditional last day of work for the year picnic on level 4? In spite of Anton’s absence I feel like those of us around could anyway…
I meant to post this awhile ago, it caused amusement among CS staff when it turned up in that book in the returns box. Sorry for quality, but look at the date!
You are all warmly invited to attend a farewell afternoon tea to mark the closing of the Henry Field Education library Te Puna Ako. This will be held in the library, on 20 November, from 2-4 pm.
RSVP to education@libr.canterbury.ac.nz, (or to me) by 10 November.
We will send out a reminder closer to the time.
We are also inviting as many former staff as possible, so it will be a great chance to catch up with old friends.
Last night Sandra, Sue and I finished a puzzle. It was particularly tricky as the box picture doesn’t match up to where the parts of the puzzle actually are, so we were very proud.
