As you may have seen, the library staff forum is being held this week.
One session will be held tomorrow, Tuesday 5th July, 2-3pm and the other on Thursday 7th July, 11am-12pm.
To help with planning the sessions, please accept one of these dates in your Outlook calendar and decline the other, so that we know how many to expect at each session.
Thanks for your help!
Ngā mihi,
Rachel
Kia ora koutou,
Unfortunately the UC Values Workshop this Monday 4th July has had to be postponed again.
We are working on arranging another date, and will let you know the new date as soon as possible. It is now likely to be later in July, or early August.
Please note that the session on Wednesday 27th July is still going ahead.
Ngā mihi,
Rachel
Kia ora koutou,
You should have received an email last week about the formal UC farewell for Anne on Wednesday 13th July. This is a separate event from the Library farewell morning tea on 14th July.
The formal UC farewell will include a number of people from outside the Library who Anne has worked with. All library staff are invited to attend if they wish – please rsvp to Deb Wekking. A calendar appointment will be sent out as well.
The Thursday morning tea is an informal get-together for library staff only, including any former staff anyone would like to be included (names and email addresses to me, so I can track RSVPs for catering purposes).
Library staff are invited to both farewell events, and you are very welcome to attend either or both as you prefer.
Finally, if you happen to be in touch with any of the former staff listed below, please could you send me their email address so they can be invited to the morning tea on Thursday 14th July?
Felicity Watson
Alison Johnson
Gail Pattie
Margaret McKenzie
Patricia Jordan
Theresa Graham
Alan Teague
Please let me know by the end of day tomorrow, if you have the names and email addresses of any other former staff to be invited.
Ngā mihi nui,
Rachel
Kia ora koutou,
By now you are probably aware that Anne Scott is retiring from UC. Her last day at work is 15th July.
To wish Anne all the best for her retirement and to celebrate her years of service with us at UC, we will be having a morning tea on Thursday 14th July at 10am. The venue will be Puaka-James Hight Library (Central Library) Undercroft 101.
You’ve been sent an outlook calendar invitation to Anne’s farewell. Please accept or decline this appointment to let us know whether you will be able to come.
Anne has shared that she would like to make this an occasion of celebration for library staff current and past and for people she has known and enjoyed working with.
If you are in touch with anyone outside the Library who would like to be invited, please email their name and email address to Rachel and we will arrange this.
Ngā mihi nui,
Helen and Rachel

A friendly reminder that the first of the UC Values workshops will be happening next Wednesday, 22nd June.
All Library staff need to attend one of the two workshops on EITHER Wednesday 22nd June 1:30-4:30 OR Wednesday 27th July 9:30-12:30. Refreshments will be provided at each workshop.
Please be sure to accept the meeting request that best suits your calendar, and decline the other, if you haven’t already done so.
Ngā mihi,
Rachel
