Nicky Ross is leaving us and will be finishing up at UC with her last day of work this Friday 22 Jan. If you would like to join us in farewelling her we will be having a morning tea in the Education workroom from 11am.

The Education team will be welcoming on board two staff members who were successful in gaining the two part time positions advertised that run through Summer.

They are Saharu Shoji from Central and Rosamund Feeney, who is currently based at Education.  Congratulations to you both and thank you to everyone who applied.

At Central our reserve stack of hampers is very low, please can you sort out some spare hampers and label them so that the Warehouse can bring them back. Thanks Wendy

Just in the last hour or so we’ve noticed our interloans request system is down – so users won’t be able to place requests. Please advise users to try the site later on rather than emailing requests through to Interloans.

There have been ongoing intermittent outages with the Interloans VDX system since the upgrade at the end of June. This has an effect on our users being able to place requests via ZPortal. If they get a message about the system being down or “undergoing maintenance” they will need to retry later. Interloans are also unable to use VDX either when this happens. This may be ongoing.

Someone has mistakenly saved a PDF file in the K:\interloans\Articles scanned for interloans folder in case you are wondering where this is. It is titled PD&R Coaching guide.

Just a reminder that interloan holds are to go behind the Lending desk rather than on the self loan shelves.

There is no access to Zportal at the moment for our users. If you have any queries from students/staff about interloan access please tell them to try later on. If they are trying to place an interloans request please do not tell them to contact us as we have a backlog from the long weekend and we no longer place requests for our users. I have informed OCLC in Australia of the situation.

EFTPOS reload stations andf Payment Plus not working currently. The IT after hours staff is logging this with IT. I also suspect they may not be able to do this with as credit card online either. Confluence is also not working.
