Pātai o te Rā – Rāpare

Ata mārie,

Ko te tuawha o te Wiki o te reo Māori!

There’s lots happening today, at Education Library the tamariki have been enjoying pānui pukapuka, Wharewhare is underway at EPS and at 1pm in the Undercroft Te Aratoki will do a Kapa Haka performance. Rawe!

Anei te pātai mō Rāpare: Name three Library Values in te reo Māori.

You all know the drill, email your answer to Rebecca T or Gabrielle to be in to win an ika tiakarete…!

Kia pai tō koutou,

Rebecca

Pātai o te Rā

Kia ora koutou,

As part of Te Wiki o te Reo Māori, Gabrielle and I will be posting a pātai on counterculture each day and we invite you all to send us your answers and at the end of the week, from all correct answers received, ten people will be chosen randomly to win a prize (ika tiakarete).

An easy one to begin te wiki with:  Whose beautiful smile greats you when you view the Māori Cultural Education subject guide?

Please email your answer to me or Gabrielle and the chocolate may be yours!

Side note:  If you’re taking your afternoon break between 2.30 and 3.30 today head to level 2 of PJH and play some fun Kēmu (board games) with students and other staff 🙂

International Review of Environmental History

UC academics feature prominently in the latest International Review of Environmental History (published by ANU), dedicated to recently retired geographer Eric Pawson.  Macmillan Brown was happy to supply images from the Rare book collection for Rosie Ibbotson’s article, which made the cover.  We also aided Joanna Cobley in her research on the Castle Hill Buttercup.
