Nathan has just let us know that there will be no assistant available to cover the 1-4pm shift  in the ITS workroom today, Saturday 6th May.

Just a reminder that as it is term break there won’t be any IT workroom assistance available during Extended Hours from Saturday 8th April to Saturday 29th April inclusive.

Although lectures  do not resume until 1st May Nathan will arrange for the workroom assistant to be present as usual on Sunday 30th April.

Hadis, our IT workroom assistant for today, has adjusted her shift from 1-4pm to 10am-1pm.  The change in hours applies to today only.

PR items that had been moved to a temporary collection on Level 7 are currently being returned to Level 4.

As of this afternoon items up to and including PR 6037 .P95s are now on Level 4.  This is not a comprehensive shift as there are items on the shelves, both on Level 7 and Level 4, yet to be moved to Storage. The shift will resume on Monday 23^rd January.

The floor plans have not been updated, so please assist our customers as best you can in the meantime.

Recent changes to Collection location within the Central Library

Level Four: In preparation for the dismantling of a further 2 stacks of shelving on the East side of Level 4 some resources have been moved onto desks along the North and East walls.  We would like to apologise for any inconvenience that this may cause.

The call Number range affected is PT 2668 .A5g to R 834 .M697.

PT 2619 .U2 1978 v.13 and items following that Call Number are still at their original shelf location, for the time being at least.

Signage will be added in that region of Level 4.

Vacant shelf space: Please remember that throughout the Central Library where shelf space has been created this should be kept in any reshuffle that might be required.  The space has been left for a mixed purpose of ‘items out yet to be returned’ and an estimated allowance for Education Library resources coming over to the Central Library later in the year.

The Den will be closed to students and staff for all of next week, Monday 23^rd – Friday 27^th November inclusive. IT will be installing new PCs.

Both 2008 copies of ‘How to think about weird things ; critical thinking for a new age’ by Schick and Vaughn, seem to be missing despite being In Library.  If you know of their whereabouts I would appreciate it if you could let me know.
