The Suggestion box is a free application that can be downloaded onto smart devices, providing users with a way of anonymously giving feedback.
The library is involved in a two month trial of this beginning Monday, 10th March.
We have been supplied with posters to put up in our libraries. The app can be downloaded from www.thesuggestionbox.co.nz.
There is also a QR code on the posters.
We thought these Distance FAQs might be helpful, particularly when you’re on AskLive with Education now closing weekends and late nights.
I’ve added in some questions and there are quite a lot there, but I’ve tried to group them together to make it easier.
Any questions or anything that you think might be missing please don’t hesitate to ask us. http://wiki.canterbury.ac.nz/display/LIBRSTAFF/Distance+Services+FAQ

We received a letter from the City Mission thanking us for the kind donation of cans from our Cantastic Christmas Trees.
In the last three weeks before Christmas they see over 60 people a day for food assistance and on Christmas Day they put on a lunch for over 650 people.
Many thanks to everyone who contributed cans for our Christmas Trees. 307 cans were collected across the libraries and will be donated to the City Mission.
The phones at Education are playing up. We can dial out, but we cannot dial internal numbers. No one seems to be able to get through to us. So best idea is to email us until it gets fixed.
Thanks
Lisa
