New Look Pānui – or Look, New Pānui

Kia ora folks,

We have decided to trial a new-look Pānui, one which has a more organic approach, where you can upload your own content as and when you like.

Where is it? In Teams under All Library Staff.

We will still do much of our original content, but open it up to anyone. Feel free to upload movie reviews, book reviews, links to interesting internet news stories, YouTube shorts and more – anything you think will be interesting or entertaining to your library family. Doesn’t have to be library related. Enjoy!

Hōngongoi Pānui | July 2023

Fine day Friday. In my opinion best day of the week. Why is that, you ask?

For one it’s just a hop, skip and slump into the weekend, although I understand that many of you (you know who you are) will be of the opinion the weekend just gets in the way pure workplace enjoyment. That’s fine – you be you.

But this Friday is particularly fine, in fact possibly the fineiest of all, because today you’re getting your latest issue of Pānui. So for those mourning the interruption caused by the weekend, you can spend Saturday and Sunday reading our latest offering and imagining yourself back here. Don’t fear, it’ll be Monday before you know it.

Pipiri Pānui | June 2023

To improve your well-being here’s another issue of Pānui, providing you with solace during an otherwise dismal and damp end of June! Be aware that there will be some considerable sparks of jealousy as you read about Glenna and Mariko’s travels. Feel free to compensate by going on your own travels and send pics and stories to us.

To those facing school hols – deep breath followed by mantra “IlovemykidsIlovemykidsIlovemykids” during any moments of sibling bickering on a loooong car ride.

Paenga-whāwhā Pānui | April 2023

It’s Friday and it’s been a long-short week so I’m sure you’re in need of a wee pick-me-up, plus an education from John in hyphen-placement—. This issue of Pānui-will-hopefully ful-fill your needs for both of the above. En-joy!

Poutū-te-rangi Pānui | March 2023

There’s an autumnal feel in the air, the leaves slowly changing to reds and yellow, and the clocks celebrate by confusing us once more (this coming weekend, apparently) but reward us with longer in bed. You could sleep in, or you could re-read your latest Pānui offering, savouring the tasty offerings. Or not.

Hakihea Pānui | December 2022

It’s that time of year again. Some might say it’s the best time. No, not because the holidays are on your doorstep – although you all have certainly earned them. No, even better that! What’s better than holidays, you wonder? For a start, your December issue of Pānui, that’s what. So enjoy an early present and mental vacation and read on!
