This is a fantastic opportunity for the great work of our staff to be recognized. The Library managers would encourage all staff to look at the criteria for applying for this award over the coming weeks. If you have any questions or may be considering to apply, please don’t hesitate to discuss with your manager.
Last October, in the light of the feedback from the organisational culture meetings, we held a 2.5 hour workshop on communication skills which was led by Andrea Bankier from Sheffield.
We would like to repeat these workshops if there is sufficient interest from staff.
Andrea Bankier has worked at UC and currently facilitates a number of the Learning and Development workshops offered through UC’s Staff Development programme. Andrea will cover a range of tools in this workshop that will be helpful for communicating generally including upwards, downwards and sideways communication. The sessions will include the chance to discuss real situations, practice and practical application.

We have secured the Sumner Theatre on Sunday 28thNovember 6.00pm session BUT we need to sell 108 tickets. This will raise $900 towards the 12 boys travelling.
Tickets are a little more expensive but it is a fund raiser and we won’t be trying to sell raffle tickets etc while you are there. $20.00. per person.
Come on down drop your kids off to the movie (I will babysit them in the theatre for you) Go grab a relaxing coffee or quiet wine in one of the neighbouring venues. Or if you are a fan come along yourself. Please contact me if you would like to purchase some tickets.
