Cheese Tasting

Yum, I really enjoyed the lovely selection of cheeses that Lynn brought along this morning.

If you would like to order some cheese and missed Lynn this morning, please email me your order and I will phone it through to her.

The cheese was lovely and the cost is very good.

Not only that Lynn left the sample cheeses behind, so if you pop upstairs in the Big fridge (if Simon Cooke hasn’t eaten it all already) there are some cheeses still to try.

Don’t eat Romy’s in the small fridge, she will get very angry.

Thanks

Liz

Free Morning Tea!

Evansdale Cheese will be at Central Library Level 5 Staffroom, Friday 14th May to offer anyone a free morning tea, cheese tasting.

Who are they? They have been making cheese since 1978, have won the New Zealand Supreme Cheese Award.

They do 80% of their business in markets or direct with the public and you will have the opportunity to purchase the cheese on the day.

Wonderful to support a local company and indulge in some fine fare.

Thanks to Joan for organising this

Photo of PROPOSED Disestablished Staff

Good Morning

Gail has requested a photo of all disestablished staff for posterity. This will be a group photo and we will be taking 2

1. Photo for Gail
2. Photo for Canta (please let me know if you do not wish to be in the photo for Canta)

Thought a good opportunity for this, would be just before Marilyn’s farewell afternoon tea. So if you are able to meet at the Information desk on level 2 at 2.50pm so not to interfere with Marilyn’s special occasion. Gail thought it might be nice on the steps of James Hight.

Thanks

Liz

Thank you to everyone who assisted on the day

Women’s race winner was Alicia Evans who smashed her own record (1m 55s, 2008) by 4 seconds to finish in a NEW RECORD time of 1min 51sec!! She was chased hard by Monica Scott (2nd place – 2min 05sec), and Maureen Locke (3rd place – 3min 15s).

Next year the Recreation Centre are planning to run this event at the begining of term one.
