Course material for BIOS 101/201 (Issues in New Zealand Biosecurity) and FORE 105 (Forest of the World) has been shifted from Engineering to Central. Both courses run from November thru till Christmas. The Biosecurity paper has a larger than expected number of enrolments so we can expect quite a bit of desk traffic looking for material classified in the SB 993 area.

A C Nielsen Market Information Digest CD-ROM
CD-ROM 04/6 has been installed on 2 library computers – 1 in the AV room and on the PC in the Den (nearest the whiteboard).
There are problems with both installs. On the PC in the AV room some reports aren’t opening. Shane is attempting a reinstall on the PC in the Den but has struck problems with licence codes. Best we can do is get students to use the AV PC.

Returning Restricted Loans items at locations other than their home
If borrowers ask about returning Restricted Loans items at a location other than that items home location, please encourage them to return the item to the branch direct. We’ve had instances lately of 3 day loans being caught up in the Hamper system unneccessarily. It’s best if the borrower returns the item to the home branch.

Government Publications & Shelving DVD’s
A couple of reminders:
Government Publications live on Level 3. Look for the ‘GP’ on the spine label. (Government Publications relabelled at the weekend were taken up to Level 11 rather then Level 3).
When reshevling DVD’s watch out for 3 day, 1 day and 3 hour DVDs – these are still shelved behind the desk not on the open shelves.
Thanks,
Victoria
