Library Assistant appointments

We are delighted to let you know that Lisa Davies (Sun to Wed) and Jean Kim (Wed to Sat) have been appointed to the Library Assistant, part-time positions. They start their new roles officially from the week beginning 20 November 2017, however you may see them earlier doing shifts at Central Library to support a smooth transition.  Thank you to everyone who applied. There was a lot of interest in these positions and a high calibre of candidates, both internally and externally that made the selection process very challenging for the panel.

Me te mihinui

Hutia te rito o te harakeke, kei hea rā te kōmako e kō?
Kī mai ki ahau, he aha te mea nui o te Ao?
Māku e kī atu, he tangata, he tangata, he tangata.

If you were to pluck out the centre of the flax bush, where would the bellbird sing?
If you were to ask me, “What is the most important thing in the world?”
I would reply, “It is people, people, people.”

E kore e ea i te kupu taku mihi ki a koutou, i to koutou aroha.  Thanks so much for the baby shower, gifts, shared kai, laughter and good vibes.  It was really lovely.

My last day at work is Friday 29 September 2017, Ill be in my 39th week at that point which is amazing!

Mauri ora,
