If you think Google Adv. search looks quite different now in Firefox compared to IE, then that’s because it does.
Might be useful to know this if you’re advising anyone on using advanced search mode.
For those who may have followed the set up of the off-air recording pilot involving the library and AV services some of the initial recordings have been catalogued and are currently in process.
A keyword search on the single term screenrights returns some results.
The pilot runs during semester one and involves both the Education Library and MB.
I seem to be getting quite a few questions about wireless access charges, which will be best answered in full by ICTS.
ICTS have the basic info here although it’s not clear to me the difference between EXTI and EXTL in relation to student access.
A fairly large number of Ilam Village students will be in the library from approx 10 a.m. this Friday on an orientation type treasure hunt.
They will be looking for clues on levels 7, and 11. There will be an answer laid out on the level 5 chess board paving for students to view from higher levels.

The AV Screenrights project (project 29) has reported to LLT and a smaller implementation group is now working closely with AV Services to set up a pilot recording service to run during semester 1. The pilot group includes Dave Clemens, Jenny Owens, Nicole Moffat and Kathryn Andrews.
The pilot will initially work with the Education and Macmillan Brown libraries to test how the technical and administrative processes of ordering and recording work. If things go smoothly we will look at opening it up more and promoting it further, but it’s one step at a time for now.
