Hi
The Warehouse have indicated that LSS are short of Blue Satchels – if you have a stockpile, could you please send some over via the hampers, marked for LSS.
Thanks, Isabel
Thanks to our library staff and casual pool for volunteering to cover this period.
Throughout this period we will be monitoring noise vigilantly in our silent zones so please phone through to x6198 immediately if you receive any complaints, either at the desk, in person, email or via Asklive and we will attend immediately. Please try and get as much detail as to the location of noisy areas as possible.
Thanks, Isabel
The Central Library bike has gone AWOL! If you know where it is could you please post a comment here. If you don’t know where it is could you please look around the bike stands near your library and post a comment here if you find it.
Recently, the Central Library CD collection has been relocated from Level 6 to Level 4.
These are now situated in the north-east corner, close to the start of the NA’s.
If you would like to order a new Entertainment Book for 2013 and support Y@P (the youth group of Papanui Baptist Church, fundraising to return a second time to Fiji to undertake voluntary work in a remote mountain village) please log on to www.entertainmentbook.co.nz/orderbooks/13714k5 where you can select the book for the Canterbury region, and pay by credit card.
I will pick up books and bring them to UC (so select pick up when ordering) and drop me an email so I know who to deliver books to; alternatively if you prefer to order and pay by cheque in which case please just email me.
Hi
Consumer magazine 2013 Feb and April issues are missing! Is it possible a staff member has these on their desk but not issued? We’d be pleased to see them again. Many thanks, Isabel
A pile of “The Bookman” came to Central Library in the hampers today, with no instructions. They are unbarcoded and untagged. Please advise me where these should go.
Copy Centre is moving back to James Hight, UNDERCROFT, on Thursday/Friday 21st and 22nd February and opening on Monday 25th February.
Their location will be adjacent to the ‘seminar’ area, and as such, nice and close to the main stairs.
Hi
With the libraries closing at 1pm Friday 21st November, there will not be any retrieval requests made to Crown or Recall today or tomorrow (Thursday or Friday) as we cannot guarantee the deliveries will arrive before we close. On 3rd January 2013 requests will recommence, and there is the potential for a backlog due to large volumes. If you receive enquiries at the counter regarding retrievals from Central, please let customers know that there may be a ‘longer than normal’ delay. Many thanks
