Hi,
I’m delighted to announce that Melita will be joining the Customer Services team as our full time extended hours supervisor (fixed term). Her first day with us will be Tuesday 8th July, when she will commence an intensive training programme, moving to her regular hours from Tuesday 15th July. Melita comes with library experience gained at Victoria University, Melbourne.
The University now has three evacuation chairs to assist in evacuating injured or disabled people from high rise buildings on campus. One of these chairs is located in the Central Library, level 2 and we have arranged some training sessions in the use of these chairs.
If you are interested in attending, please sign up on the booking sheet here.
Please check with your manager first. Training is not compulsory.
Congratulations to Fiona and George, Thomas arrived on Saturday 7th June. At 11lbs 5oz, a planned caesarian, and the holder of the family record! Fiona will be heading home from hospital later in the week and says she’ll let us have some photos soon.
I am very pleased to announce that Sandra Gover has been appointed to the position of fixed term Customer Services Co-ordinator at the Central Library. As you will all know, Sandra comes with a wide experience of UC Libraries and in particular the Central Library and our extended hours service. She will start in the role on 19th May.
I am very pleased to announce that Carolyn McMahon has been appointed to the position of fixed term Customer Services Co-ordinator at the Education Library.
