There’s one more step that I left out when transferring NZRoom books to the Maori Collection or to lending. Please scan their barcodes to either K:\Education\NZRoomtoMaoriCollectionbarcodes.doc or K:\Education\NZRoomtoLendingbarcodes.doc. We will then give Collections a list of these barcodes so they can change the titles from appreciating to depreciating. Thanks C

The password printing station at EDU seems to have been out of order for the past week or so – anyone getting their pin wrong gets a big WRONG sign but if they get it right they were just getting a computer error message. I’ve restarted the computer and it now accepts the right pin but instead of printing the password out it saves a document in the MY DOCUMENTS folder of the computer and displays that document on screen about 2 mins later. Recommend that if you’re helping students use it that you wait a minute or two after PIN entry to make sure that their details aren’t left up on screen. Have contacted Library IT. -glen

Jeremy Baker or his wife will be in tonight for “Classic Songs of the 30s/50s” which I’ve put behind the desk. He or she may just wish to copy one song from it/them- I’ve said we can do it for them on the staff copier. CS

There’s a customer coming in on Sat with two videos that were overdue and have gone to ‘lost’. I’ve sent (our) Kim an Email about it. The customer’s name is Kim Gardener. C

The Self-issue machine has reverted to having a screensaver come up if not used for more than a few minutes which is off-putting to potential patrons. Library IT are on to it.

A very cute little red light has been found near the New Materials’ display. It’s in the top drawer. CS

As part of the NZEC rejig, there are some non Education NZEC materials stored in the workroom beside the mailboxes. Status on Horizon is T: In Process.
The number will grow, but they are in Dewey order so should be easy to find your way around should anyone require these items. KA 12/5
