Click on the Courses link at the top of every UC web page. Type in the course code and view details of rooms, lecture times, textbooks etc.

Wireless coverage
Available in Levels 2-4, and 8-11 of the library, please refer to information on the IT website
and refer questions to the IT Help Desk.

Charges
Wireless access is charged by traffic volume. The first 50 megabytes of wireless traffic per day is free then it costs 1c/megabyte.

Check on the course page on the University web pages or purchase textbook lists from UBS at 20c per page.

UBS will sell second hand books that are still in use.

10 scanners available in the Loft. Do not need to book in advance.

Questions to check :

Does the student have money on their account? Check Canterbury card balance.

Have they waited 30 minutes for money to load?

Have they logged on & off since money was loaded?

Where are they printing from ?

Does the printer have paper?

Have they clicked the the correct printer icon e.g. PDF, Blakcboard does not always work with ‘File’ ‘Print’?

Delete all printers and reset to the printers you want

Is the paper size A4?

If there is no money on the account students can select Black/White colourPass or colour printers and direct job to Copy Centre where they pay 20c per page.

Select the Copy Centre’s Colour Pass printer. Contact the Copy Centre for prices. Go to the Copy Centre to collect your job.

Prints cost $1 per page

On Level 1 of the Library there are 2 Canterbury card phones (white), and 2 public phones (blue). There is one of each kind of phone by Security . Internal campus calls are free on phones around campus.
To use the Canterbury Card Payphone system, from any extension telephone on campus: dial 7900 and follow the prompts.

Topomap is available from the Geography portal or the database page. Topomap is not available off campus.
Maps of Christchurch are available from the Help Desk (in box by Serials Directory).
