Fill the stapler with long unbroken rows of staples. Discard any little pieces. Small runs of staples can lead to the stapler jamming. It is easier to throw away a few staples than to perform surgery on the stapler.

Deletion of former student usercodes
On Saturday morning 31 March, from around 3am onwards the approximately 10,478 former students who have not re-enrolled, or asked to be converted to EXTI will get their usercodes deleted.
An email was sent on 1/3/07 to all of these students saying that ICTS will automatically delete their student usercode and files from all ICTS systems 30 days from the date of the email. They have been warned!
Any former student who wants to retain their usercode for remote off campus use or recover files or emails should contact IT Help Desk. To get a refund of the balance on their Canterbury card, see the Card Co-ordinator.
Loading printers
PLEASE, do not overload the printers. This practice has twice caused the printer tray to jam.
Red topped Visitor cards found
The Card Co-ordinator has found his supplies of red-topped Visitor cards. Some of his card supplies got misplaced in the various moves they made for enrolment so that last week, we had to suspend registering NEW subscriber borrowers.
Borrower Registration is now continuing as normal.
Wireless Network
There are now some updated handouts about the Wireless Network in the manilla folders behind the Help Desk. Here’s the link
Education Library Edu collection
There is a collection at the Education Library called the Edu Learning Centre. This is a Reference only collection.
Also, don’t forget to check a book when students ask about the Education Library. Look for the subject subdivision Juvenile Literature on Education Library records as sometimes the students don’t realize the level of what they have found. Also books in the classroom collection will probably be at primary or secondary school level.

International Financial Reporting Standards on CD-ROM
The catalogue record (bib #841569) for this title is a little confusing. If students are wanting to use this product on CD-ROM, direct them to the ‘stand-alone’ PC near the Help Desk which has this installed.
