The wonderful http://nzresearch.org.nz, run by the national library aggregating all NZ repository outputs is having some issues with Canterbury work at the moment, with some links back to the repository not working.
It is scheduled to be fixed, and the UCRR re-indexed next week.
Normally this is an excellent and under utilised resource for postgraduate work in particular.
Research & Innovation are managing a project to replace the existing research output management system (Output module of Profiler) with Symplectic Elements.
Their business case was successful and the project has just begun. Implementation will begin now with the system going live in early 2017.
The other modules in Profiler will remain and Symplectic Elements will be integrated with Profiler, PeopleSoft and the UCRR.
One of the advantages of the new system will be its links to Web of Science and SCOPUS, allowing academics can retrieve their citation data from these services.
We are going to upgrade the UC Research Repository (http://ir.canterbury.ac.nz) next week. It could well be unavailable, or acting oddly, for periods of time on Wednesday 20th of October and Thursday the 21st.
There is going to be a freeze on adding or changing it from midday Tuesday through to beginning of work Friday.
If you want to have a look at what it is going to look like, check out http://ucdspace1p.canterbury.ac.nz If you have any feedback or suggestions, we would love to hear about them.
