I don’t know if you walked past one of the shoots, but in the past couple of weeks UC’s Marketing team has been across campus with their fancy cameras and equipment filming student profiles for 2015.
For those of you who don’t know what UC’s student profiles are, here’s some information. The University’s Marketing team develops two types of student profiles: a written article in a narrative format and another as videos with narrative voice overs. Both are published on the University’s official website and showcased in printed publications and on social media. These aim to give incoming and potential students an insight into life at UC.
The videos feature students doing exceptional things while at UC and use their experiences to depict student life. From presidents of student clubs, like the famous Student Volunteer Army or the Canterbury Malaysian Students Society, to residents at halls on campus and sporting legends, the Marketing team aims to capture every aspect of student life and all that UC has to offer.
It may seem like just another marketing campaign, but as a first year student, the 2014 videos are what gave me an insight into what UC had to offer. These are all very well thought through, honestly represented aspects of student life at UC and I consider myself fortunate to have been a part of this year.
Once the videos are completed, they will be published on the official University website, so don’t forget to watch them and in the mean time make sure to watch the 2014 videos, if you haven’t already!
