National Volunteer Week: Co-curricular Record Activity Spotlight – UC Hosts

We’re at Day 6 of NZ’s National Volunteer Week and our final volunteer activity spotlight for the Co-curricular Record!

If you’re a fan of helping out at events and getting people excited about going to UC, being a UC Host is a great opportunity for you.

UC Hosts are student help at UC events, which can involve a number of different roles, including assisting with catering, greeting visitors and giving campus tours. They are the biggest representatives of UC to visitors and make sure people enjoy themselves on campus and leave with a lasting impression. Some examples of events UC Hosts attend are What if Wednesdays lectures, International Welcome, Open Day, Careers Fairs and Information evenings.

Any first-year undergrads looking to join this activity can read more information on the CCR website: www.canterbury.ac.nz/support/ccr/activities/uc-host.shtml

You can also check out other activities on the CCR website and find out how to register: www.canterbury.ac.nz/support/ccr/activities
