Want to make a difference following New Zealand signing the Paris Agreement on Climate Change?
The planting is being organised by the Silverstream Advisory Group , and it is sponsored by the Waimakariri District Council (Silverstream is a Waimakariri District Council reserve).
Come and help convert farmland into native bush at a planting day at Silverstream Reserve.
When: 9.30am-2pm, Saturday 7 May 2016
Where: Silverstream Reserve, South Eyre Road (near Clarkville)
All tools, gardening gloves, morning tea, and a pizza lunch will be provided. All you need to bring is sturdy shoes, comfortable clothing and a bottle of water. Children and dogs are welcome too.
How to get there: take the Tram Road turn off from the Northern Motorway (just after the Waimakariri Bridge), travel down Tram Road and turn left into South Eyre Road. Approximately 2kms along South Eyre Road on the left, just past the Kaiapoi Pony Club, is the Silverstream Reserve entrance and car park. If you enter via the signposted gate next to the car park and drive slowly up to the shed, you can park there.
