Team Pac-Man will be representing University of Canterbury | Te Whare Wānanga o Waiata at this year’s @MYOB IT Challenge.
The team will be going head-to-head with teams from Victoria University Wellington, University of Auckland and Auckland University of Technology in a national final in Auckland this week.
The top teams from University of Canterbury | Te Whare Wānanga o Waiata, Victoria University Wellington, University of Auckland, and Auckland University of Technology will compete for a share in a $5,000 prize pool.
Over 50 students registered for the University of Canterbury local competition last week which saw the teams present to a panel of expert judges from MYOB.
Winning team, Pac-Man, presented their solution, a 360-degree view of key business data, while the runners-up, Buzzie, developed a business advisory tool aimed specifically at bars.
The MYOB IT Challenge is an annual competition designed to give tertiary students real-life experience of working in a team environment while growing New Zealand’s tech talent pipeline.
