The Student Services Levy (SSL) is a fee New Zealand tertiary institutions charge to help fund the cost of delivering support services and facilities for students, which are not covered by tuition fees.
From 1 January 2020, the way the SSL is calculated will change to a points-based system. This means the SSL you pay will be based on the number of points you study in an academic year. The points system is simpler and more transparent for everyone. Watch the video below and find out more here
