Collaborate for change and save the world from your couch: the 2021 Aotearoa Virtual Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) Summit was fully recorded and is now available to watch on YouTube!

Hon. Minister Nanaia Mahuta, Minister of Foreign Affairs, provides an Opening Address at the SDG Summit.

Packed full of inspiring workshops, project showcases and panel discussions, the Summit was focussed on using the SDGs as a tool for collaboratiing for systemic change, with Te Tiriti o Waitangi at the core of our actions.

Choose to catch up on workshops and sessions facilitated by business, community, government and eductation leaders with topics including collaboration in system change, Te Tiriti based climate assemblies, measuring wellbeing,  the future of education, innovation, tertiary institutions’ roles in delivering on the SDGs, conservation, waste minimisation, disaster risk reduction, climate research and more!

What next?

Incredible outcomes include the launch of the SDG Declaration with signings from the respective Vice Chancellors of the UC and LU — Professors Cheryl de la Rey and Bruce McKenzie — and an outline of their institutional commitment to the SDGs.

Continue the Aotearoa SDG Journey

The rākau was handed to the University of Waikato as the hosts of the next installment of the Aotearoa SDG Summit – but the mahi does’t end there! Continue to be part of the SDG story in Aotearoa by joining the Aotearoa SDG Alliance, staying in touch via social media, signing up to the SDG newsletter, and telling as many people as you can about the Sustainable Development Goals!
