Roadworks – Riccarton Road Railway Crossing Upgrade (Fri 9 Nov – Mon 12 Nov)

There will be a railway crossing upgrade on Riccarton Road from 10pm Friday 9 November to 6am Monday 12 November.

24 hour work is required due to the impact of the works on the wider rail network.  We will start setting up this site from 8pm this Friday night and expect to be packed up by 7am on Monday morning.

Riccarton Road will be closed at the railway crossing located between Harakeke Street and Monavale Avenue.  Traffic (including pedestrians) will be detoured around this road closure.

Please note businesses on Riccarton Road will remain accessible from either side of the road closure during this time.

Please note 24 hour work is required to finish this job as quickly as possible.  Unfortunately, this means road works will be carried out during the nights over the weekend of 9 November.

As there is a lot of work to complete in a short timeframe, they will need to use civil construction equipment at night hours, which will be noisy.
