Free bike skill workshops

Want to start biking to uni?

If you haven’t been on a bike for a while or want to take your confidence and skills to a new level, then our free bike skill workshops are for you!

Sessions range from covering the basics such as how to fit a helmet and use gears correctly, to helping you travel through intersections, and navigating on-road cycle lanes in busier traffic.

The workshops are completely free and held on and around UC campus during lunchtime. Loan bikes and helmets can be provided on request.

Three sessions are coming up for our UC community in March:

  • Tuesday 5 March, 12pm – 1pm
  • Tuesday 12 March, 12pm – 1pm
  • Tuesday 19 March, 12pm – 1pm

Registration is essential as spots are limited. Please contact chloe.sutton@canterbury.ac.nz for more details and to register your interest.
