Celebrating International Women’s Day!

Share your favourite tips, tricks, and recommendations to lend support to fellow women seeking advice across various topics. Whether it’s related to mental health, careers, fitness, auto mechanics, relationships, hobbies, gaming, cooking – you name it, we’re eager to hear it!

Let us in on what you wish you had known, what you think others should know, or the strategies that proved most helpful in those areas. Whether it’s a simple suggestion for great dining spots in Christchurch, insights into where to find the best petite or plus-size clothing, navigating career challenges, or coping with life’s twists and turns – we want to hear your valuable advice.

If your guidance doesn’t fit into any of the listed topics, feel free to drop it in the ‘OTHER’ category. Your advice could make a significant difference to someone else’s journey!

Share you tips here through this submission form.

Prizes will only be given to UC Students only. Each comment entered classed as 1x entry. The more tips and tricks you have to share, the more likely your name will be drawn for a double pass to the Two Raw Sister’s Workshop voucher (Female Owned!).

What you write may be printed out for our International Women’s Day event, happening from 12-2pm on Friday the 8th of March in Ti Kouka in Haere Roa. Please let us know if you would like to remain anonymous by clicking ‘yes’ or ‘no’ below in the ‘Entry Details’ section.

Check your flat’s bathroom heater

If you live in a student flat or at home, please check your home’s bathroom heater because WorkSafe have prohibited the Serene Classic S2068 wall-mounted bathroom heaters.

WorkSafe and UC advise students to contact your landlord if you discover these units within your flat.

Landlords/homeowners should then arrange for these units to be isolated and removed by a qualified electrical worker.

See the Serene S2068 heater below:

We encourage you to share this information with friends and whānau.
