This week, to express our aroha for our Muslim whānau—and in a stand against racism and discrimination of any kind—the Student Volunteer Army and University of Canterbury Students’ Association have partnered with All Right? to create one kilometre of messages of hope and compassion.

Thousands of paper flags have been sent out to schools, libraries and museums around Ōtautahi Christchurch. Now, we need your help to combine these messages together before they are displayed in front of Christchurch Cathedral on Friday morning.

Join us on the C-Block lawn (or wet weather venue Tī Kōuka room, Haere-roa) at the University of Canterbury this Thursday 12th March from 10.30am onwards to write your own words of support or to help us string the messages together.

Paper flags are also available to write on in the Puaka James Hight Central Library from this Monday.

The messages will be collected at the completion of the project and turned into art by the Giving Seeds of Love project.

Help us string together 1kn of aroha and hope
