Remember when you first applied to enrol at UC? Was it easy? Did you get all the information you needed to guide you through?
UC is working on simplifying and improving the communications students receive during the enrolment process… and we need your help.
Look out for two workshops coming up over the next few weeks.
Workshop one (12pm – 1pm, Monday 29 July)
Provide feedback on the communications and notifications students receive when applying to enrol at UC. We want to know the good and the bad! (And, we’ll be serving pizza for lunch.)
Workshop two (to be held in August – time and date to be confirmed)
Work with UC staff to co-design a new process for communicating to students during the enrolment period.
You will be helping to make sure our enrolment communications are spot on – making it even easier for students to apply to enrol at UC. Plus there’ll be free food at the workshops!
How to get involved
To register for the workshops, email email@example.com
Can’t make the workshops but have some feedback? Email it to firstname.lastname@example.org
If you’re a first year student, and you went to Orientation Day in February, you’re invited to a focus group being run by UC’s Events team this Friday.
We organise Orientation Day and we’re keen to make this event as worthwhile and fun as possible for future students. To do this we need your help – we’d like to get your feedback on Orientation Day this year.
If you’re free on Friday 4 May at 11am until 1pm and would like to participate in the focus group, please email email@example.com
We’ll be shouting pizza for lunch!
Our first event this year is a celebration of all things cycling! Perhaps your New Year’s resolution is to get back on your bike? Maybe you want to start cycling to work, but don’t know when or where to start? Perhaps you bike to campus already? No matter where you are at, the Sustainability Office has you covered, with a FREE breakfast for anyone who cycles into campus on Tuesday 6 March.
What: A FREE breakfast for anyone who cycles into campus
When: Tuesday 6 March, 8am – 10am
Where: Matariki Square (in between Matariki and Puaka James-Hight)
Why: We thought it was time to celebrate our cycle friendly campus in style. The beginning of the year is the perfect time to think about getting to campus without using your car. What better way than bringing everyone together to enjoy food, coffee, and talk cycling?
Who’s invited: Everyone with a bike – don’t forget you can borrow one off a friend if you don’t have your own.
Come down, show us your helmet, and enjoy music, prizes, giveaways, and the chance to meet other cyclists at UC. We’ll have the Christchurch City Council there to chat about the new cycle networks, cycle maps to help you choose the best route, Dr Bike there to do on the spot bike tune ups, students running photo competitions, and the opportunity to learn more about our cycling community at UC by chatting to like-minded people.
Did we mention you get a free breakfast? We can’t wait to see you (and your bikes!)
Brought to you by the UC Sustainability Office. We’ve been busy bees over the summer, planning and organising events for 2018. Check out our Facebook page and our webpage for more updates on our 2018 events, coming soon, and follow us on Instagram.
