Welcome back students! We’ve got some great news for returning UC students, we’ve made the process for renewing your gym membership waaay easier, so read on.
If you had a membership with us in 2019, and you’re going to be a student again in 2020, our system will automatically create you a 2020 membership that will have a new expiry of 1 March 2021. This will happen as soon as you’ve paid your student levy.
If you’ve not had a membership with us before, then you’ll need to create a RecCentre account and register for your 2020 membership. You’ll be able to do this from the 1st February, once you’ve paid your student levy.
Check out our website for more info, and to see what we’ve got over here for you to keep you on your health and wellness journey in 2020.
If you’re keen to look after your health and wellbeing while studying, UC Rec & Sport offer great opportunities to lift, move, play and restore.
UC RecCentre membership is covered by your student services levy* and gives you access to facilities including a gym, boxing training area, climbing wall and sport courts. Membership also includes an extensive group fitness programme with everything from yoga and pump to spin and circuit classes.
If you haven’t sorted your membership yet, you can sign up online – you’ll need to create a new RecCentre account using your student email. During your first visit to the RecCentre we’ll activate your Student ID card and take a photo of you.
Your existing 2018 membership will expire on Friday 1 March. You can renew your membership online – you’ll need to log in to your existing RecCentre Account. We’ll then activate your Student ID card when you next visit.
This is also a good time to sign up for social sport leagues, small group training courses and the 2019 Group Fitness Challenge if that interests you.
You can also register your interest in any of the huge range of sports clubs on campus.
