Welcome to the UCSA

If you’re new to campus, welcome! The University of Canterbury Students’ Association (UCSA), if you haven’t heard of us, is a not-for-profit organisation that supports UC students. We’re 126 years old, and we’re located across the river in the building called Haere-roa.

We provide a heap of student services, including: representation; advocacy and welfare; support for clubs and societies; CANTA magazine; and a lot of great food outlets on campus. We also organise events throughout the year to keep you busy.

A few tips:

  • Follow us online. You’ll find us on the UCSA Noticeboard and @theUCSA on Facebook. We also run @ucsa_nz on Instagram.
  • Keep an eye on our events calendar.
  • Download the V-Plate app – it’ll give you student discounts at UCSA outlets.
  • Check out Haere-roa.
