UC Business School Social Impact Cluster – Brown Bag Research Seminars

We invite you to a series of seminars from the members of the Social Impact Cluster (SIC). These are friendly working seminars, where colleagues will share a piece of research they are currently working on, or wish to work on, that is in the social impact realm. These will be short presentations of around 15 minutes with the aim of generating discussion, suggestions and ideas for moving the research forward, publication pathways, and overcoming reviewer comments.

So overall, the seminars are a safe place to work collaboratively and in a supportive manner, for sharing ideas that are in progress – this could be early stages of conceptualisation and idea generation through to seeking methodological or publication support – but not a place to share completed work. The total time for the seminar is somewhere between 40 minutes and 1 hour depending on discussion.

The seminars will take place every two weeks, everyone is welcome, including postgraduate students. The series will kick off on Friday 17 July (see below for list of all events) and will all be held in room 236 in the Meremere building. We have tried to vary the days and times to accommodate for teaching schedules.

Lastly, we are updating our list of members of the SIC, please email ann-marie.kennedy@canterbury.ac.nz if you would like to be added onto the list, or if you know of people across UC who may wish to be added to the list.
