The Foundry reopens on campus

Big news: From Thursday 21 May, UCSA bar The Foundry is reopening on campus!

Our new hours are 4PM til 10PM Monday to Friday, and we can’t wait to welcome you back. For your wellbeing, we have a full safety plan in place, including measures to ensure social distancing.

We’ll be serving up our regular menu, which includes favourites like Thai chicken salad, Foundry fried chicken and share platters. Just make sure  that you bring your V-plate with you – it’s your ticket to some great student discounts.

As well as a tasty menu, The Foundry Quiz Night will also be making a return to campus on Tuesdays from 7pm. Sign up to The Foundry’s Facebook page for the latest updates and get your team together.

Finally we want to say a massive thank you for your ongoing support.

We’ll see you soon!

The UCSA’s Opening Up For Level 2

These last few months have been a challenge, but the University of Canterbury Students’ Association (UCSA) is still here to support you as we move to Alert Level 2.

During the national lockdown, we shifted many of our services online and began to work remotely, but as lockdown lifts, we’re taking steps to reopen some on-campus facilities like select food and beverage outlets and Haere-roa (the UCSA building).

So what changes will you notice from Monday 18 May?

Haere-roa

Haere-Roa will be opening its doors to students once again. Please remember that you’ll need your Canterbury Card to swipe yourself into the building, but once inside you can make a beeline to a comfy chair, or visit UCSA reception upstairs.

Haere-roa Central Street

Food and beverage

We’re also happy to announce that you’ll be able to grab your caffeine-fix or a bite to eat, Monday to Friday, from:

  • Nuts & Bolts, 9AM–3PM,
  • Collective, 9AM–2.30PM, and
  • Chilton’s, 9AM–4PM.

These outlets will be takeaway only, and we have full safety plans in place for each site. We can’t wait to welcome you back, and we appreciate your support.

University Book Shop (UBS)

Booklovers will be glad to know that UBS is reopening from Monday 18 May. And if you’re off-campus, you can also browse their goods from the comfort of your own home, through the UBS website.

Other UCSA services
