These last few months have been a challenge, but the University of Canterbury Students’ Association (UCSA) is still here to support you as we move to Alert Level 2.
During the national lockdown, we shifted many of our services online and began to work remotely, but as lockdown lifts, we’re taking steps to reopen some on-campus facilities like select food and beverage outlets and Haere-roa (the UCSA building).
So what changes will you notice from Monday 18 May?
Haere-Roa will be opening its doors to students once again. Please remember that you’ll need your Canterbury Card to swipe yourself into the building, but once inside you can make a beeline to a comfy chair, or visit UCSA reception upstairs.
Food and beverage
We’re also happy to announce that you’ll be able to grab your caffeine-fix or a bite to eat, Monday to Friday, from:
- Nuts & Bolts, 9AM–3PM,
- Collective, 9AM–2.30PM, and
- Chilton’s, 9AM–4PM.
These outlets will be takeaway only, and we have full safety plans in place for each site. We can’t wait to welcome you back, and we appreciate your support.
University Book Shop (UBS)
Booklovers will be glad to know that UBS is reopening from Monday 18 May. And if you’re off-campus, you can also browse their goods from the comfort of your own home, through the UBS website.
