Consortia: The University of Canterbury Chamber Choir is an auditioned choir, open to students and non-students of all ages from Secondary School up – and that also includes staff – here at UC!
Consortia is directed by current Music PhD candidate and lecturer Andrew Withington (current Musical Director of the NZ Secondary Student’s Choir, and recent Director of Christchurch City Choir) for UC School of Music. Last year, the choir’s performances included Bach’s Magnificat and Benjamin Britten’s War Requiem with the Christchurch Symphony Orchestra: Consortia is a choir that is going places.
There are approximately 40 places up for grabs and those who are successful may also have the chance to join the smaller Vocal Consort formed from within the ranks of Consortia. Contact for more information or to apply now:
Applications due by March 1
