Online Experience Phase II Update

Last week the project released updates for the following sites:

Postgraduate – http://www.canterbury.ac.nz/postgraduate/

UC Health Centre – http://www.canterbury.ac.nz/healthcentre/

Student Support – http://www.canterbury.ac.nz/student-support/

Chaplains – http://www.canterbury.ac.nz/chaplains/

Summer School – http://www.canterbury.ac.nz/summer-school/

Bridging Programmes/ Transitions – http://www.canterbury.ac.nz/future-students/qualifications-and-courses/transition-programmes/ (which is still under the old design but available in the new CMS).

And a new introduction page for registering on MyUC. http://www.canterbury.ac.nz/future-students/apply-and-enrol/what-is-myuc/

Along with a new usability design, more “call to action” buttons across the site, this brings the total pages migrated or created in Phase 2 to 341.

The project has done a lot of work to make these pages easier for visitors, but we realise there is still more work to be done. Especially in the Postgraduate space. Over the coming weeks we will be engaging Postgraduate students to test the look and feel of the new pages to improve the navigation and content, and make it even better.

This brings phase II to a close, and over the next six weeks the team will be focusing on refining some of the content and providing a handover to the teams who will support this going forward. If you see anything that needs changing please log a request in Assyst and they will forward to us to look at.

We are also working on a submission for the next phase which will bring even greater improvements to the site and bring the rest of the universities web content in the same management system.

We hope you like what we’ve created to date, and are happy to take any feedback.

Many thanks,

Debbie Jones
