The final phase of the UC Apple wall plug exchange has ended, thank you to all Staff Members that exchanged affected wall plug adapters and thank you to the IT Service Desk for assisting with the Ilam Campus exchange. 182 faulty wall plugs were replaced under the exchange.
If you were not aware of this exchange or were not able to replace your wall plug, you can still have it replaced at any Apple Service Agent. Click here for the locations of the Christchurch Agents.
To know if your wall plug adapter is affected, detach it from the adapter and examine it.
An affected wall plug adapter is generally round and has four or five characters or no characters on the inside slot where it attaches to an Apple power adapter. Redesigned adapters have a three letter regional code in the slot (AUS) and have a oblong shape.
