Use the Tag Cloud to Find Things

This is a great way to find things in the Intercom blog. Many other blogs use tag clouds too.

  1. Open Intercom
    https://blogs.canterbury.ac.nz/intercom/
  2. Scroll downwards, looking to the right side of the page for a group of words in varying sizes under the heading Popular Topics (you’ll notice the words before you notice the heading)

This is the TAG CLOUD

The Tag Cloud is a cluster, or “cloud” of words representing Blog post topics in Intercom. The more posts that have been “tagged” with a topic, the bigger the topic heading, or “tag”, appears in the Tag Cloud.

Click a topic in the Tag Cloud, and all blog posts tagged with that topic will display. For example, click Computer Use and the computer efficiency tips I write will display (the Tech Tips).

Intercom also has a great search function in the top right corner of the screen (red magnifying glass icon).

Remember too, that you can open the Archive of Tech Tips, listed at the bottom of every Tech Tip, and find a listing of all the Tech Tips. Click the link, then press the ‘End’ key on your keyboard to jump to the end of the Archive list where the most recent Tips are (that’s a great tip in itself!).

Check out our Archive of Tech Tips. Click the link, then press the ‘End’ key on your keyboard to jump to the end of the Archive list where the most recent Tips are.
