Are you finding that your Up/Down/Left/Right keys are unexpectedly behaving differently in Excel?
The SCROLL LOCK key is the culprit.
In Excel, the Up/Down/Left/Right keys on your keyboard usually change which cell is active. However if you have inadvertently tapped the Scroll Lock key, located above the Page-Up/Page-Down/Home key groupings (it happens), then the whole worksheet scrolls up and down instead. This can actually be useful, but not when you don’t want it to!
Solution: find the Scroll Lock key and tap it.
(Tip: when the Scroll Lock key is on, a blue light usually displays above the number pad.)
