UCGo one month since launch

3,601 people have downloaded and registered for UCGo, the mobile app for students, since it launched on 11 March – that’s 20% of the student/staff population!

UCGo aims to make organising and managing day-to-day study easier for students, giving them access to student email, LEARN, their class timetable and more, from their mobile phones so they can easily access information while they’re on the go.

One month in, statistics show the average user is using UCGo daily, especially to see their class timetable (30,234 clicks) and to access LEARN (11,630 clicks) and their student email (7,225 clicks).

Positive feedback and ideas for future functionality is being provided by users through the app and you can make suggestions in the comments below. The project team is committed to making continuous improvements where possible.

Coming soon is fully integrated Ngā Puna Mātauraka o Te Whare Wānanga o Waitaha |UC Library functionality allowing students to see at a glance their loans, holds and fines as well as search for titles, book rooms, renew books and cancel holds.

Staff can also download and log in to UCGo using their staff log in details. This is a great way for staff to see what is being communicated to students and also receive emergency push notifications.
