Redeveloped Kā Kohika site makes artworks and archives more discoverable

UC Library has made it easier to discover and access UC’s amazing artworks and archives through our reinvented Kā Kohika site

Kā Kohika enables you to browse, search, bookmark,  and request to view these unique treasures. Over 28,000 digital images have been uploaded to the site, providing a rich source of images for teaching, research, assignments or other purposes such as marketing. The original items can be viewed in the reading room at Macmillan Brown Library.

New and improved features include:

  • enhanced visibility of Māori and Pasifika content,
  • mobile compatibility,
  • curated themes, tailored to teaching topics or special events,
  • new search result filters, such as digitised items only,
  • improved data structures, layout and navigation,
  • social media sharing.

Our artworks and archives are much loved and regularly used by all sorts of people from UC, our local community and beyond. We hope that Kā Kohika will encourage new users to explore and discover these unique taonga.
