The Government is developing a Research, Science and Innovation (RSI) Strategy that sets out their vision for RSI in Aotearoa New Zealand and its role in delivering a productive, sustainable, and inclusive future.
The draft strategy has recently been released for public consultation (available here) and MBIE are keen to hear the views of New Zealanders so they can get a better understanding of what our country needs from RSI.
These views will inform the direction of Government investment in RSI and the research and innovation areas for the team to focus on as a country, as well as help them understand the challenges they need to overcome.
MBIE are hosting a public presentation/discussion session on the draft Strategy on Thursday 10 October, 3 – 4.00 pm at UC’s John Britten Foyer.
They welcome anyone with an interest to come along to hear more about the Strategy, and share their thoughts. Please register here if you would like to attend.
MBIE are taking feedback on the draft strategy via written submissions, and encourage you to make a submission through the template form available here. The closing date for submissions is 10 November 2019.
