Part of that formula should include some exercise. Find something joyful, that every time you move you look forward to it, and are perhaps a little sad when it’s over! This could be outdoors, indoors, at the beach or in the garden.
If you think structured exercise may help (perhaps you love routine, or recognise that your spontaneous nature could do with a little routine to balance you out), then we’d love to see you at the RecCentre. More than just your standard gym, we offer a big range of activities under one roof, so you can get a taste of what the fitness industry has to offer at a super low price. Just maybe we ‘ve got something that will excite you!
The UC community is currently experiencing a large number of bicycle thefts. The Security team are working with Police to identify and apprehend the offenders.
If you see any suspicious activity around any of the bicycle stands on campus please contact UC Security on 6111 or 0800 823 637 immediately.
If you are parking your bicycle on campus, we suggest that you use the secure bicycle sheds. These are located at Creyke Road, behind C-Block lecture theatre and next to the Meremere (law) building.
Most importantly UC Security suggest that you use a good quality D-Lock to secure your bicycle. These have proven to be a great deterrent to thieves as all the reported thefts to date have been of bicycles secured using wire rope or chain locks.
