Professor Ekant Veer secondment into the VC’s Office

Professor Ekant Veer has accepted a secondment from the Business School to the Vice-Chancellor’s Office during 2020 to work on implementing the strategic objective of UC as an Engaged University.  He will focus on developing the concept of a city knowledge commons and multi-agency research platform which has been supported by mana whenua Ngāi Tūāhuriri and  a number of city leaders. 

As part of the secondment, Ekant will retain his role in the Postgraduate Office as Associate Dean (Scholarships). He looks forward to engaging with university and external stakeholders and hearing ideas about how to advance UC as an Engaged University.
