The University has taken a lease on the 30-room property at 23 Creyke Road.
The rooms are large, fully-furnished, some with ensuites, others with shared bathrooms. The property is located on the perimeter of the campus and very accessible providing accommodation to mostly postgraduate students but also research assistants and interns.
The rates range from $210 per week including power for a 12 week minimum stay. Should you be aware of any postgraduate students requiring accommodation, please contact Jackie Slater, Affiliated Housing Advisor for information on availability and how to apply.
Most of our hall of residence and villages, both fully-catered and self-catered, are currently full or near full which is great for UC, however, with the new 60-room extension at Bishop Julius Hall, there is capacity for short-term stays throughout the year.
Particularly for international students 17-19 years of age, the environment at Bishop Julius Hall and the close proximity to both Ilam and Dovedale campuses is ideal. If you are aware of any potential groups of up to 20 who may be in need of fully-catered accommodation, please contact Accommodation Services with details and we will work with you to meet their requirements.
The accommodation is best suited to groups, rather than individuals and for periods of longer than two weeks. The rate is based on $55.00 per nightfully-catered with linen provided.
