Boss Coffee Comedy Club tickets are on sale now!

The Boss Coffee Comedy Club: Wednesday 15 July 2020, 7PM to 10PM at Haere-roa.

BOSS Coffee presents Comedy Club, a fun-filled night out featuring some of New Zealand’s funniest comedians live in the Ngaio Marsh Theatre! The event is part of UCSA’s Re-Orientation lineup.

Public tickets (‘no mates’) are now on sale, and UC staff are very welcome.

About our lineup

Eli Matthewson: In 2017, Eli was nominated for New Zealand’s top comedy honour The Fred Award. He’s also head writer of Have You Been Paying Attention?

James Roque: Nominated for the Fred Award for Best Show in 2019 NZ Comedy Fest.  James boasts a heap of television credits, including appearances on 7 Days.

Georgie Sivier: Winner of The South Island Raw final in her first year of comedy, Georgie’s been the the queen of sharp absurdity ever since.

James Mustapic: James’s satirical dry style and cutting observations have landed him roles on the Spinoff and made him a two-time Billy T nominee.

Liv McKenzie: Liv was crowned the Best Newcomer at the 2019 NZ Comedy Festival (plus she’s a Christchurch local).

Venue Update: The Shilling Club

OnCampus

The Shilling Club is now available exclusively as a venue for your events and gatherings, with catering and bar services provided by OnCampus.

We’ve updated our catering menus to include some of the items formerly provided by The Shilling Club and we’ll have their famous scones available daily from The Foundry.

The central campus location makes The Shilling Club the perfect venue for your next meeting, conference or event. Fully licenced and with barista coffee facilities. Contact us today to discuss your requirements and package to suit you.

Noel Leeming Friends and Family SaleThe Noel Leeming (Riccarton) Friends and Family deal has started, so now’s the perfect time to grab a bargain.

All UC staff and students (as well as their friends and family) can take advantage of the deal, so spread the word. The promotion runs from 8–21 June 2020.

As an added bonus, +2.5% of total sales will go towards the University of Canterbury Students’ Association.

The Foundry bar reopens on campus

The UCSA is thrilled to announce that from Thursday 21 May, The Foundry bar will reopen on campus.

The Foundry will be operating under new hours, 4PM til 10PM Monday to Friday. We’ll also have new safety measures in place in response to COVID-19.

The Team will be serving from our regular menu, which includes all your favourites like Thai chicken salad, Foundry fried chicken and delicious share platters.

As well as menu favourites, The Foundry Quiz Night will also be making a return to campus on Tuesdays from 7pm. Sign up to The Foundry’s Facebook page for the latest updates.

Finally we want to thank the UC community for your ongoing support these past few months. It’s massively appreciated, and we’re looking forward to seeing you all again soon.
