2018 L&D courses are now live

The courses/workshops and programmes that make up the Learning and Development offerings are now available for registration.

The first courses for the year (with spaces still available) are:

Te Reo Māori for the Workplace

Dates & registrations for 2018 Te Reo Māori courses are available.

We have limited spaces available for
Wednesday 14 March (Module 1) &
Wednesday 11 April (Module 2)
Both modules are half day courses and run from 1.00-4.30pm

If you have a query about how to pronounce a Te Reo Māori word correctly, send your request via the Te Ohu Reo request form and we will endeavour to feature it in a future column.

New reo Māori pronunciation app

Kia ora, me ngā mihi o te tau hōu.

There’s new app to help you pronounce te reo Māori. See the story in the NZ Herald. 

It focuses on places up Tāmaki-makaurau (Auckland) way. If you practice these it’ll be a good start to knowing how to pronounce local names.

There are some local place names among the UC-specific names and sound files that you can access here

We will be updating and expanding these files in 2017.

Kia kaha ki te whakahua tika i te reo Māori. Make an effort to pronounce Māori words correctly.
