Continental has now confirmed that they are unable to commit to the University at this time as a result of two other initiatives that they are working on that have not drawn to a conclusion.
As a result Continental is unable to confidently resubmit to the University and is not in a position to outline how it might provide services from the Ilam Homestead.
It is the view of the Vice-Chancellor that further delays are undesirable, and that the University’s best interests are served by adopting a new strategy to secure a caterer for the Ilam Homestead.
To that end the UC Property Advisor is documenting the work completed to date in order to outsource advice to the Vice Chancellor on future desirable outcomes.
A private sector property professional will be retained over the next week to provide the Vice-Chancellor with this advice.
The University Club will be advised when a suitable consultant has been selected and will be invited to meet and work with that individual.
